WHiZZ! BaNg!! FiZZLe!!! POP!!!! And a giant toblerone thanks to Pirate Steve!!!

Hey all you insano-dudes!!!
No one had posted yet about the events of last friday night AKA chemical reaction night...so i thought i'd do so!!! (keep bloggin' peeps!!)

SOOOO....we started off with everyone mingling and hanging, which is so great!! And then we started with the chain tiggy game, and some good ol' dodgeball (we'll have to crank up the dodgeball next year in preperation for State Youth Games!)....and then we got onto the CHEMICAL REACTIONS!!!

First up we had the lid pooping...immean poPPing contest where we put alka-selters into film canisters (thanks to the pharmacy i work at for those!) and shook em and left em til the lids popped off!!! I do believe that Jillian Hough holds the record for the longest distance travelled by a lid!! This game lent itself to several hilarious popping disasters...mark, and others, got covered in fizzy water when their canisters exploded too soon!!!!

After that, there was weird-sherbert making in the kitchen with cousin cath, and snot-coloured slime-making with Jarrod....what a mess, and what great fun!!! We should DEFINITELY have more slime fights at youth group!!! green slime is the coolest!!!

After all this craziness, everyone was pretty chilled out, so instead of breaking into our devo groups, everyone just hung and chatted (Ez and katters and molly and sam and em and i sat and had a great chat!!!) and HUGE thanks to steve, who most thoughtfully brought heaps of chocky for us all!! you legend!!!!

So overall a great night, even though ali and dave couldn't be there, and big thanks to digs and jarrod for coming along!!!!
Look forward to seeing all you beautiful people on Friday!!!

Lotsa Love,
Mason

Music Madness

What a great night! The singing was err... excellent!
Alex and Tom's lovely rendition of I've got you babe was definitely the highlight for me.
I just got up and sang almost every song. My voice was nearly gone by the end of the night.
Jillian Hough can sing and should sing more often. I remember singing with her back in primary school.

More photos to come!

Karaoke!!!

Hi all,

How exciting, it's 3:39 on Friday afternoon, and that means only 3 hours and 21 minutes til aerobics, and 3 hours and 51 minutes til Insano Cafonkey!!

Tonight we will be having a wonderful time in the swamp. Which swamp, did you say? Why, I'll tell you, it's the Shrek Karaoke Dance Party Swamp!

I'm told there will be a little dancing and aerobicing throughout the night as well!

Anyways, I should be getting organised as there are things that need to be done, and I am the one who needs to be doing those things!

Can someone, or more than one person, please do a post about Insano tonight? It would be great if we kept a bit of a record of the exciting things that happen at IC!

See you all very soon, (and will prob. see most of you before you read this),

God bless,

Ali

Oh my?! Are you wearing a tutu and growing a beard?

Hi all,

I had a great time last night at Insano! I was very impressed by our domesticated gentlemen; stuff just tastes better when it's cooked by the male species!

And ladies, how funny was the sock wrestling! And I must say, we should definitely create a jewellery business and sell our edible creations!

Seriously though, I was able to join Amy and Sarah L.'s small group, and it was great hearing a bit about everyone's weeks, and finding out about what God's been up to in everyone's lives! I also thought it was great that you guys were willing to have a go at our spontaneous meditation/thinking time thing, I know it can be a bit scary or weird, and it's really hard not to interact with each other (even for 5 minutes or so!), but I thought it was a top effort that you all gave it a go! High fives all round (like a donut!)!

What were people's highlights from last night?

What could we do better or differently?

Suggestions on how to funk up the carols? (They seemed to be a bit of a drag last night- how can we make it fun?)

And we need more moves to finish off our latest aerobics routine, Steve R. helped us out, but we still need everyone else’s signature funky moves! :)

Well I will see you wonderful people very soon!

God bless,

Ali

STUDY SPACE...while i think of it!

Hey everyone, it's mase. was just talking to a mate about study space, and thought i should post the details up here for all to see:

"Are you in need of some extra help with your studies? If so, come and join us down at Study Space.

This free tutoring is available every Monday night from 6-7.30pm in the Chapel. For more information contact the church office." <-- you will most likely see ali b and cousin cath and alicia there :) so if you want some help with homework, or a good space to do it, go along!

Also guys, don't forget, if you wanna rock up,
CHURCH MEETINGS ARE EVERY SUNDAY: 9.30-11am and also 6-7.15pm-ish at the building! You'll find most of the youth group leaders at the 6pm gathering. Was great to see erin there on sunday (and of course, katters, zac, matt, tom, steve p, ames, ab, ali, dave, and lots of the gang were there too - it's a great way to catch up and learn more about God, and tell Him how great he is!)

And also! :P Don't forget to let all the other youth groupers know about this site: send out emails if you must, and tell them all the username and password!

And also (will she ever shut up??? lol) if you've got any cool ideas for christmas carol singing, post em here, message me, or let me know!!
Love always,
Sarah (AKA mason!)

Mason's Random Post!

Heyyy, nice work with the post Nicole, hope you and rach had a fun sleepover!!!

Yeh, i had fun last night! Carol singin' was good, but AB and i r gonna come up with a way for everyone to be involved in it, whether it's banging stuff, doing actions, playing instruments, doing interprative dance (joke!) and other stuff....Can i get a oooo-ahhhhh'... to make it really fun and pumpin (and so that people don't have to stand around, singing quietly and feeling awkward!! :P)!!! and maybe we can do some of the Aussie Christmas Carols too. (it might take a few weeks for us to get organised tho...both of us are at a crazy time with school and uni!!!)

My favourite bit of last night was the massive BEANBAG FIGHT our group had during devo (i wouldn't shut up about it afterwards!!)!!! and then Matt and i had a food fight (in other words, we threw a donut at each other repeatedly!!)...don't worry, AB & i vaccuumed up after wards :P Look after yourselves, and stephen poole, you are a monkey!!!

Catchya guys. Mase.
